Starting the game in trade league won't teach you anything about the game unless it's a fresh league start.
And you're completely wrong, all GG items you can think of has been duped over and over.
Starting out on trade league is probably the quickest way to make the game shit.

Do SSF lvl 1-90, if you hit a hard wall you can always migrate over to trade league, migration only goes one way so this would be the only option for people who want to experience the game in a good and (for first timers) challenging way.

Like I said, trade league is broken. You'll see/feel/experience ZERO character progression when you get get full leveling gear for a few exalted.
I mean, a GG weapon for lvl 11 gets U to 28, the 28 tier to 60, 55 tier to 80.
Youll never see the step by step improvements for each piece if you quadruple your power each tier.

Starting an arpg 3 months into the season I truly do believe that SSF is the only way to get the authentic experience for a first timer.

Sure, if you already have 2-3 high level chacters trade league is an option. But he won't learn anything about the progression tiers, and first season starting in less than a month, he will be completely lost if he based his first experience on buying stuff.

so i finally launched the game and made a monk after my buddy got his pc set up we only got to enchament but he got on before me and just went with standard but i did mention that i was advised to to SSF but i can see your point here so sincewe only got about 5 minutes into the game ill probably go back and restart it especially because unlike diablo POE2 had some aura out the gate that i want to experience so ill probably tell friend to also go back and jump into SSF instead

skill tree was insane atmosphere great so my 10ish minutes have me excited so far

just came back over to d4 cause im trying to get rid of my stuff and someone wanted to buy an item then going back to poe2

Play SSF, trade-league is broken, way too many dupe exploits that's been abused in the pre-season, kinda ruins the experience if you play trade-league as a first timer.

yeah so i went back started SSF ended up going with merc but yeah playing this way is nice i see people in chat freaking out about the game economy changing with update and iim just vibing and stoked i killed the devourer in one try and got some new items. really digging this game big time so far its weighty and slow reminds me of exanima a bit feels like im playing a 1 player story rpg just with people to chat with on the side where as d4 i couldnt tell you what the story is about i just get a lot of gold and blow up screens of enemies

not worried about checking dtrade not feeling like i need to grind to a thing just playign a game with fun combat

You wont have any fun if you dont follow a build guide. Game has so many interactions that take thousands of hours to understand.

Your self build will do 1/1000000 the dmg of a build guide.

Wrong, all you need to do is read the gem descriptions. Most people have lack attention to detail.

Exactly, that's the way the game is meant to be play for first timers :)
And you're correct, no guide is needed if you have at least some common game sense, it's a pretty simply game.

There's only a few endgame item/skill interactions that's not obvious to everyone, but if you're a gamer by heart you'll figure those out for sure.

People who blindly follows a guide just cripples their own learning curve and will always, always be behind the ones who invest time to learn instead of copying others.

It's not like the people who writes the build guides gave access to some secret information not available to the public, they just gamers.

Good luck on your journey my G :)
