His father's money builds spaceships, this is another case of big rich heads with failure progenies (Elon in this case) being propped up by money to make him look more useful/important than he is because how could a successful businessman produce a worthless son? Just go ahead and check what if any is actually elons creation and not "throw money at nerds to make cool stuff and claim I made it"
