Long time user, getting harassed on FB by a fake account scared to show who he/she really is - anyone know how to get his/her ip and figure out who they are?

If this is illegal in this forum I apologize just delete it. I haven't been on in a few years for anything other than a few questions. Thanks all

there used to be ways for this
but facebook has changed their ui many times.
the best way to solve this is to change your settings

Login to Facebook and go to the Account drop-down menu at the top of any Facebook page and select "Privacy Settings."
Select "View settings" in the "Basic Directory Information" section.
Change the setting for "Send me messages."
Your options include Everyone, Friends and Friends of Friends.

No. Even if you could, there's no guarantee the ip is reliable. Could be through a proxy, vpn, mcdonalds wifi, etc. Even if you got the ip, it's not like the isp is going to tell you to whom that ip belongs.
