i wanna create a script which does tasks in the browser automatically for me.

a few years ago i managed to get an own script working using autoit and the help of a fellow d2jsp user.

unfortunately that was a long time ago and i basically need to start at square one.


- what language would you recommend?

- which browser should i use?

depending on what you're trying to do, i like greasemonkey (firefox) / tampermonkey (chrome). you can use javascript to interact directly with the page. there are some scripts here floating around to block users on jsp, change font, etc. i wrote some scripts to help me with books on audible / goodreads.
