Mostly if you want to teach, there will be a ton of jobs in the coming years

in my county in GA, computer science courses were categorized as 'business', so you needed a business degree (or related, eg accounting) to teach it. if you had a computer science degree, you couldn't teach it. i thought it was the dumbest thing since 8-pack-hotdog-buns.

I'm a CIS major because I couldn't hack the math so if anything I wouldn't mind teaching youngins down the road when I'm a whole lot more fluent.

meh, I used to be a fan of doing stuff like this.

I think the current system works fairly well. People who are interested will sign up for it in HS/college.

Then the degree will naturally weed out the ones who won't make it.
