Hello, so I've been searching long and far for a Host that can run a SMF (I have a Facebook group, with 30k members) to advoid the case of things becoming lost so easy (1000+ online at once) and a lot of posting going on.

I've found a host that can support 25k users a month. But that's only 800+ unique IP logins per 24/h's($10-15/m)
(20gig HDD) issue because it's shared hosting. It can only support around 50 conconnections(I believe that is what I was told)


I guess I'm wondering does anyone know any better plans? Or should I just get a VPS (40-60 gig hard drive, 2gig ram. 1TB data allowance)

if you can afford you should get a VPS or if you got the knowledge you should build your own server.

True. But for now it isn't worth the time / money

Check out ramnode if you want a cheap VPS. 15/yr or 8/qtr for the cheapest two. I run a server for a few android apps for 15/yr

The cheaper plans couldn't handle the STRESS.
