Hello everybody. I'm working on designing a web-based survey that is a sort of personality test that allows an individual to answer weighted questions, and at the end a tally is made categorizing the individual taking the survey as a certain quality of thing.
This is something that I've worked on at an internship for a nonprofit and it will be freely distributed and not monetized in any way. I've been real careful with using Creative Commons for any artwork I've used.
I've already created the survey, all the information is in it, all the categories are made, it is weighted, one can sit down, take the survey all on paper, do the math, and see where they fall on a certain spectrum (from a Venn Diagram) based on their choices. Kinks have been worked out. It is the third system I developed for it, the most simple with being able to weight the answers, and I think nails it.
The quiz has 12 questions on it.
The nonprofit I am doing this for has a paid for wordpress site that has all the bells and whistles. A peer told me that if I did this on the wordpress site, with something like proprofs, users would be able to make a button on their phone that would effectively perform like an App....but I don't like that, it assumes too much work on the users, and I am assuming people are going to have the shortest attention span imaginable because it is going to look like something corny like a BuzzFeed survey but it is really going to trick people into thinking about social work topics and volunteering and giving their money to organizations we support and fund (we are a macro agency who helps fund direct service people).
I can pay more than the 5 fg I have if needed. My long-time afk buddy has a ton and I could just call him for some fgz if you all are that mercenary...my wife is an engineer and from what I understand you STEM people are cutthroat about getting paid for services
If anybody has any experience in making apps please let me know what my options are. I have found a couple web-based editors that don't charge too much but would like to know if somebody knows of a tool or editor that would kick this projects ass.
At this point I have approximately 3.5 more months to work on it, the intellectual groundwork is done. We have a budget as well if we have to buy tools or whatever.
