A little hard to explain...

So when you press F1 through F12 on the Mac, different graphics pop up as your sound/brightness/etc changes, like so:

Is there a way to change your settings (maybe not through the official Mac settings) so that a different image appears instead? For instance, if I press the increase volume F key, a picture of a llama pops up (or whatever I designate).

Thanks

i'm 90% sure it's possible, it's just a question of how badly do you want it. one strategy is to look for the image on your computer and replace it, which might be quick or might take a long time. another strategy is to disable the default behavior of the function keys and write your own custom script/program which shows a picture you want and also changes volume / brightness / etc.

apple is pretty well known for making products difficult to customize
