a good book on "windows programming based theory"

i've never heard the phrase "windows programming based theory". can you describe what that is or what you're trying to accomplish? are you just trying to interact with windows apis? you seem very novice to working on that.

ummm a friend told me i should read about it..... from my understanding it's just working with different windows files, like dll files etc



EDIT: and yes i'm novice for it, but i like to have materials ready and pre-prepared

i suggest you ask your friend for a recommendation since nobody else knows what exactly you're looking for. keep in mind dll files are different between c and .net. if you're looking for hard core native windows features, that won't be in C#. just learn the standard .net features until you're more comfortable with programming.

you should get VS201x community edition and just try making a simple program that adds 2+2
