What is your favorite CMS right now?

Joomla seems to be on the downslide and the MVC architecture is fairly medicore.

I'm thinking about learning Drupal as I've heard it's an amazing CMS for developers right now.

Expression Engine or EE. <-- it is not free $200+ but is very secure. Much more complicated than Joomla/Wordpress/Mambo/PhpBB but still 100X better than from scratch. Can be used in the medical community and government. Good for e-commerce if coupled with Cart-Throb.

Joomla has become less popular due to the 1.5 year old OpenSSL heart bleed attacks. However if you know and understand ssl this is not a problem but is still too popular to call it safe anymore.

EE is free for non-profit however. Just don't expect there to be 100k free templates out there.

I definitely think Joomla is the best. It has an amazing community behind it and it's the ONLY CMS that is 100% volunteer driven. The rest have corporate backers and paid contributors.

The Joomla community really goes out of their way to make sure you become successful and will be happy to mentor you from day 1.

The MVC architecture is by far built better than WordPress. Not sure about Drupal though, which uses SF2 I think....not sure which PHP framework since I haven't used it before.

I'm not sure which framework drupal uses but so far I really enjoy it. Drupal is by far my favorite thusfar but I'm only ~3-4 weeks in. It's surprising how nice of a web app you can make with 0 coding. I haven't even touched a line of PHP or anything yet and already have an app that is functional (not pretty yet).

I think drupal is better for websites that need to scale as they grow more popular. Joomla does as well but not as well as drupal.
