I've done $5,000 Golf Scheduling program, $2,500 Virtual tour internet portal for real-estate agents, $8,000 website for engineering company. $21.00 per hour on full time was my rate of pay and $40 per hour for outside contracts.

yes i do realize that, i've done a scrape for a bar website. built the spider to extract all the locations for every bar in america split off into states. that was only $200 but probably only took an hour or so.
than there were a few one hour $500 jobs that added up to $3,000 to build a multi-player gaming engine over IP.

That's just for a shitty 3-4 hour wordpress website. Any single person dev team with no coding knowledge can make a wp website quickly and make a few grand. Obviously it's not going to be something as nice as building something from scratch with drupal using full MVC architecture. But small businesses usually don't need that.. they just need some bullshit static pages and can easily afford a few grand off the bat.
