What´s this about:

My cousin recently opened a alteration tailor shop. She would like to have a very basic homepage so that local people can find her service and asked me about it. I have no clue regarding webdesign – usually I would just read into it and try to make something easy to do on amateur level, but I just dont have the time right now being overloaded with rl stuff already- so here I am requesting someone to do this assignment.

Since I have have no experience, I will just list some innformation that I would consider basic homepage that fulfill everything she need:

- Assignment is everything from scratch ( design + code): from creating domain name – put in online ( and in google search engine index)
- 3-4 pages with 1 image each ( location – choice of products – legal notice) including an index page
- domain and webhoster should be free of charge and dont cost anything periodically
- Can use a free template or make one on your own using one of the 3-4 images mentioned above, no need to strain yourself over this though
- No need for extra stuff like guest book or contact form
- static or dynamic? I guess what u think will fit better, the content are very unlikely to be chnaged once it is put online


That´s all I can think of for now I think, for more details ask in thread or pm and ill try to answer them timely. As for payment (in FG), as I have no clue about this stuff and its pricing, just suggest me what you would consider a fair offer and worth your time. I can pay a part in advance and the rest step by step till the assignment is completed if you have doubts about the payment

You're setting your cousin up for shitty business marketing and a shitty website.

not rly a problem since hte number of alteration tailors in this area can be counted with 2 hands and no one has a homepage.

Might be able to put something together if I have time and you are paying well.

The statement I bolded above though - That's not going to be free. It'll cost ~$10 maybe for the domain name, then like $10 a year, then might cost something per month or year to actually host the content (I'm not sure, I have a server in my own home that I host my own websites on so I don't have to deal with this)

why don't you just make a facebook page?

thx for pointing it out. I thought a free domain like those with .vu is going to be sufficient but looks like it is better to use a proper domain/ webhoster after all. I did a quick search and looks like getting a .de domain ( we live in germany) including webspace will cost about 15€ a year. Cheap enough.

didnt think about that, thx for the idea. Although i am pretty sure she does not have a facebook account or is willing to maintain one. Anyways she asked for a compact static website which purpose is to only list the needed information. I´ll ask her about the facebook thing but i will probably do it as addional thing if she wants it - so this request still remains.

no one? Might as well take some random webdesigner tool from a domainhoster and make it myself the easy way if no one is willing this wekkend.

You're bumping in a sub forum which has a handful of regulars (literally can count them on 2 hands).

Most web designers charge anywhere from 15 to 30 dollars an hour or more.
