Has anyone been using java to develop android apps for a while?

I'm fairly proficient at java and want to just practice a bit with creating/editing android apps.

Anyone know a good place to start?

Both have clear explanations and examples for basic stuff.

Ahhh hadn't even thought to check android directly.
