research project as in do something that's never been done before then publish a paper on it? or just write code for something that takes more than X hours?
if the latter, make some fantasy football thing. not sure how that thing works, so i'll leave it to you.
The latter, 4-6 hours per week on something, doesn't have to be exactly coding
Ah yeah, that'd be kinda cool. I'm not sure how I'd do that, since it will be in the spring and football doesn't really happen in the spring haha.
Maybe something with coaching? (I'd like to coach some day but how could I integrate that with computer science)
Sorry, I've been so vague on this, hard to explain since I don't really know the guidelines that I REALLY need to set.
More or less just a 20 minute presentation.
Some kids did an alorgithm of prediction of NFL games, another did high level look at USB deletion habits.
Here are some stuff I can do the project over..
high performance computing,
high performance networks,
distributed environments,
parallel computing,
system security,
network security,
data encryption and integrity, and
grid computing.
