Hey guys,

I've made a few nifty programs over the past few months and I want to know of a few good places to publish them so they can be used.

Thanks!

github and bitbucket are good places if you want to host your code for others to enjoy.

Sourceforge might be a good place to host your applications, something like that.

You could consider putting together a website and hosting your own shit.

I have thought of making a website, but I don't want to purchase the rights to a domain name (I'm still in high school). Plus my web design skills are lacking. I have set up a web server using my IP though.

I've made little utility programs in Java mainly -- Wake on LAN, LAN messenger, a program that downloads all of the screenshots for lol and a few more. I'm starting to learn C as well.

I have not heard of github and bitbucket and sourceforge . I'l check it out!

Googlecode is also worth checking out, though most people seem to favor github instead

It isn't, but to access all the goodies offered by github you have to know how to use it.

Use both of them then. I think you can set up an if this then that (ifttt.com) recipe to copy from one to the other. If you really want to use only one, go with github.

I think learning how to use github is great, lots of companies expect dev candidates to showcase an active github account
