I'm currently hosting a website I created using WordPress and cpanel for my friends tattoo shop.

The site itself functions properly and cpanel for the most part makes editing easy.

What i can't seem to figure out is why when I go to the website it shows the sites ip address in the address bar nit the name of the site.

Same goes for the pages within. If I click on color tattoos let's say. Instead of the address bar reading color tattoos it reads 192.156. Etc..

Can anyone help me with this?

Login to your wordpress dashboard, click on "settings", and update the wordpress url / site url with the domain name. After you do that, click on "permalinks" under settings, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click "Save changes." If you don't do the permalinks your page links might appear to be broken after changing the urls.

The two URL options. Wordpress Adress (URL), and Site Address (URL) are grayed out and i can't edit them. I checked the permalink tabs and they are all in the IP format as opposed to the way i would like it and there is no option to change any of it atm.

Sorry if theres an easy fix to this but i won't lie I'm learning as i go with all this website and wordpress stuff.

Thanks so far SelfTaught i appreciate it. Any other help you could offer me is appreciated also.

np

disable all of your plugins and see if they're still greyed out. if not, change urls, update permalinks, and then reactivate all of em

Check wp-config.php to see if site url is manually defined.
