I know how to get flow to teh website and rank it up, I know how to use stuff like ad sense and stuff affiliate marking and all, I will have no program getting traffic.

But i need help on design, I am very rusty with the codding and i dont have Dreamweaver anymore i was going to buy it but i was doing some digging and i can across GoDaddy, they have the domain name i want for the company im going to buy private servers and have unlimited storage as well but when it comes to making the site they offer builders but i want to try making my own templates and such is there a program that can help me with that? or should i be photo shopping stuff?

The site is going to have a lot of games and flash games put onto it were you click and play and some of teh higher end games will require downloading. (Me and my friend make games) The idea is kinda like newground were you have all the options a mouse click away idea.

I'm not to worried about cost at the moment so anything will help, please post here with your thoughts that will help me.

Being sorta newer to website design i wanted to make sure it looks good which is why im asking if i should just go with programs that help me create what i want.

Design it in photoshop first, once you have something you're happy with build the template.

I use notepadd++, that's all you'll ever going to really need to code editing html/css. Firebug in Firefox is a must plugin for debugin/fiddling around with css etc. As for back-end stuff that's another matter :P

You may also want to consider VS server which you can increase the bandwidth/storage/hardware etc as/if the demand becomes more instead of going all out on a dedicated server.

I was looking at a Vs server, I will be creating my own but intill the funding comes in i will do this as needed.

Yea, I agree with Photoshop in deed, create what i want then upload in code. I was thinking of Dreamweaver and Photoshop, Design in it shop load it in weaver.

Only becuase it does the code for you, i need to learn more about html and flash frist before i can write it my self so i figured do this till i have learned some.

designing is a skill in its own, hence why there are ui/ux designer specific jobs. either use a cms and get a template and maybe find plugins for the games, or pay someone to design and code it if it needs a lot of custom things.

Okay thanks for the input.

I found a good hosting site, I'm going to use weebly for now to get started.

It has the ability to let me use my own custom html which is nice, So when i get better at codding i will just load my own custom stuff. It's a starting point for now. When i make some money im going to setup my own server room in my house and do it that way.

I have a question tho, My friend made a game in fusion 2.5 and as it stands its just click and play.. Now i know there is html code to have a game embedded onto the site, Does the game need to be converted to flash first? I wanted to to be able to play right on the home page. It's click and play as it is now.. soo wouldn't i just need to embed it?

I may not even use weebly just buy the hosting,. aha.

Have fun purchasing a decent rack, rack server, rack ups, 2 redundant internet lines with sufficient bandwidth, and designing a cooling system.

That's a probably not the best idea, you'll never be able to compete with speed/location/ping etc etc you can get from a data centre.

From what I can tell Fusion requires you to download the game, so embedding may not be possible. Making a game in Flash or Flex (both AS3 language) would allow you to do that though and Unity has a web plugin too.

My own sever stuff is going to happen in time when i can afford it, I know the costs.

As far as the game goes im pretty sure you can convert it into flash. It has exporters.

I'm not sure im going to have to talk to my friend about it. If it does not have flash or anything then the game can just be downloaded.
