Just downloaded VS Express 2012, is that a good route to go? (free)
Was flip flopping between VSE and Codeblock but since I don't know anything about linux anyway I figured why learn two new things at once right?! wrong?!

What's everyone else using?

i've only used visual studio 2008 for c# and vb.net. i was mostly pleased with it, but it's a memory hog. dunno how the newer versions behave, or how good it is for c++

for what little C i did back in college, i just used vim

For C++ and C my IDE of choice is Qt Creator, but VS with the VAX plugin is pretty good as well.

VS2013 is amazing. Still a huge mem hog, but so worth it.
