So 2 weeks ago I bought a new desktop computer that comes with a keyboard and mouse.

Couple days goes by and I receive the merchandise.

after I set it up and try to play my games (dota 2) I get an error that says , " display driver had stopped working but successfully recovered."
After this error pops up my graphics get choppy.

So I reformat everything and install drivers and same problem happens again.

Last week I decided to return the merchandise in all it's original boxes.
Yesterday I received an email saying that it wasn't shipped in the correct box. (This is NOT true.)

I even went the the UPS store and talked with the manager that shipped my item back. He even says that the original box was sent back.

Now I'm most likely stuck with this defective computer.
Depends what they say to me when they call me back.

Anything I can do??

Sounds like an off by 1 error. Could you post a code snippet so we can help you debug?

lol

OP: I'd insist more and tell them what you've posted. If it is in their TOS that you can ship back after purchase then they must respect their engagements

sounds to me like it's just a driver issue. i've had some problems like that before. using a different graphics driver will probably help. try going back one release and see if it's better.

You may want to consider heat to be an issue too. Open the case point a fan to it, on high, then game your heart out.

I also believe this to be true. Your problem is in the gpu. I don't know if you bought the gpu used, but if you did, there is a good chance someone used it to mine and burnt it out a lot so now it crashes to very slightly increased temps. I know because I have a card that does the same. I'd try just returning the gpu for an exact swap and see if it solves. GL.
