My systems course has released our biggest project and we have 2 options

I'm leaning towards CourseOS - although it seems more challenging, I like that we don't have to rely on having just one or two partners. Also I've never dealt with a large project through github and this could be a great learning experience.

I was wondering if you've had an experience with any of these two, and/or what you would personally choose and why

Being able to use command line git is really important imo, any dev project at work that I've seen/worked on is always on our enterprise github, it really is an amazing tool and great skill to have.

On another note I don't have experience building an os, so I'm no help there.

I echo the sentiment about learning anything about git. I personally haven't had much experience with it, but I know from talking to several sides of CS folk that it is invaluable.

I am in an OS course right now and both of those options sound great, but #2 sounds REALLY cool for putting on a resume.

Seems like a lot of work like it said, but most likely it will be 10000% worth it.

how many skilled enthusiastic programmers are in your class? i suspect the majority will be done by 1-2 people if they're anything like my classes.
