Hey Guys,

I am trying to learn how to use/create Macros and VBA so that I will be more efficient in corporate settings. I am apply for financial analyst positions which involve a lot of data manipulation and seeing as I have no idea how to create macros/VBAI thought it would be smart to start learning now. I have done online searches to find a lot of crappy videos/sites outlining basic functions, but I was looking for more in-depth functions/capabilities. I am a pretty fast learner so I don't think taking a class is necessary but if it is indeed very difficult I will look into that later. As of now I have absolutely no knowledge about VBA, but am at the very least intermediate in excel. From my understanding macros/vbas can be used across all Microsoft office products, not limited to excel, which will be pretty interesting to learn in the future

Are there any sites you guys have used or know of that you can recommend for a beginner (video format from youtube or text instructions are both fine with me)? Also, are there any sites out there that provide free sample data that I could play around with? I feel stupid trying to create random data to practice on :P

Thanks guys!

Edit: Was I supposed to post this in the sub-forum for visual basic? Sorry if I posted in the wrong area.
