I know literally nothing about programming, looking to get my feet wet before I decide on whether or not it's what I want to go to school for

I'd rather give it a try before paying for all the classes and stuff, so it's not a waste of money if I don't like it


Does anyone know of any websites or instructional series for total beginners that would be helpful? The super basics and stuff are what I'm looking for

There are threads on the first page of this forum that have replies and are asking the same exact question.

Code dot org, codeacademy, udemy, coursera, udacity....there are literally thousands of places to go.
