actually i was able to move my d3 to d drive but it still ended but redownloading through bnet client

xcopy "c:\program files (x86)\Diablo III" "d:\program files (x86)\Diablo III" /O /X /E /H /K

is there something that I am missing or will it happen regardless?

Why are you using cmd? Did you use a time machine to go back to the 90's?

Copy the folder normally, and then go into your B.net client and change the path to your game:
