Anyone here done any cool projects with a raspberry pi?

I have my personal raspberry Pi which I have as a RFID on my front door, as we're all students we have library cards with RFID tags built into them, bought a cheap rfid scanner + solenoid lock on *** little bit of wiring and some basic python and boom fully working! :D

I'm studying Computer Systems Engineering at uni and for my project I've got to interface an accelerometer to the pi, just been doing research so far.
Just picked up my ADXL362 accelerometer so I need to do some soldering so I can connect it to the Pi then i've got to get my head around SPI
My main tasks are;
Measure frequency if the accelerometer is vibrated
Measure the angle of tilt
Measure the g-force if the accelerometer is dropped

And I've got to decide how i'm going to display them!

Anyone else got any cool ongoing projects?

Also next year I plan on making a quadcopter using one of my pi's, not sure how well this will go though ^_^

I am pretty unoriginal and was planning on getting one and just making it into a shoebox home server

copied off a video, but took some old cooling fans and made a hover device, it doesn't work very well though

ahh that's pretty cool :p I get bored of playing old games though :(
Plus I prefer the electronics side of things compared to the programming side :D

haha that's a great idea, I guess the fans probably aren't powerful enough?

So trying to use the SPI with Python is seeming to be a lot more difficult than I hoped, going to have to see if I can understand it better in C :(
