So i am starting my programming classes and i want to get a head start, i don't really like tutorials unless they are interactive, does anyone know of one that is?

This one helped me out a TON when I first started learning Java, and it has enough advanced stuff to keep you going for a long time

oh man, i feel blinder than Christof Sielecki. i totally saw javascript in your title.

i'm not as familiar with java tutorials since i learned it a decade ago, but this popped up on google: http://www.learnjavaonline.org/
