Would it be possible, for example, to take the new HTC one which has an IR Reciever as well as bluetooth and everything else in it, to create an app for the google play market that would connect to an app you would create for xbox, and open both up at the same time, connect the phone to the xbox, and broadcast whatever you wanted over your phone to the xbox? (such as movies, or the phone screen, ect)

That would be one hell of an app....

you mean something like this?

dunno anything about an xbox, so i can't comment on what they're capable of. newest console i own is the playstation one that i used to play ff 7 on 10+ years ago.

My guess is no. i'm not sure if there is a public sdk for the xbox to do that kind of stuff
