I need to write a paper on ethics (using ASCM ethics paper) pertaining to some sort of real-world ethical issue....some examples have been the Snowden situation and the Challenger space shuttle explosion (since the issue was known with the O-rings ahead of time).

The situation can either be in computing or engineering in general....

Just looking for a few ideas if any of you know of any other ethical situations...? Such as releasing code with known issues before it was fixed just to meet a deadline or anything along those lines...

maybe every windows release?
it's nearly impossible to write bigger software that works just perfect in the beginning without a lot of testing. thus service packs and updates are always required.

oracle licensing. they let you in with small fees, but over time as you expand and become dependent on them, they jack up your licensing fees. instead of just licensing each server you have, they start licensing every user who touched the server for example. then companies try to cheat/hide how they do things to avoid paying them so much money.

Know where this is explained anywhere? I'd love to have some sort of article to read through! Has to be a ~10 page paper that I write
