Hey guys,

not sure if I'm posting in the correct sf but I'll ask anyways ^^

Since 3 days twitch.tv isn't loading for me anymore. I didn't change any settings or anything. I have all the latest updates and I've tried it in Chrome, Firefox and IE. It's not working in any of these browsers. Every other website is loading perfectly fine and everything else like games, teamspeak and stuff is working too. Simply this site isn't working anymore.

I already reinstalled FF and Chrome - same problem. I cleared the cache and tried a dns flush. Nothing worked for me.

I didn't black or whitelist anything, since I don't even have an idea how I would do that. I'm not a complete noob at computers but this is freaking me out because I have absolutely no solution for this.

So if anyone has an idea for me or any tip I'd be really happy.

Thanks in advance guys.

Cheers,
Schnittchen

instead of typing twitch.tv in your url bar, type:
199.9.250.76

let us know if that works

also could try disabling any anti-virus/firewalls you have and see if it works then

thanks for your answer. unfortunately it didnt help :(

I've checked if theres any option to block urls in my router settings. there is no such option.

thats the furthest progress when i let it load like 10 mins. i let it keep loading for like 3 hours yesterday. didnt change anything.

other things to try (running out of ideas here):
-------
click start, then paste this into the run bar:
%SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\
then open the file called "hosts" with notepad, and see if you see anything that mentions twitch.tv or something like 199.9.250.76 (or any lines that do not start with #)
-------
also try direct connecting to your uhh internet source (bypass your router).
-------
a final desperate trouble shooting tip would be to try a linux live cd and see if you can reach the website with it
-------

Ok that seems to remove your pc as the potential culprit. Leading me to believe the problem is either with your router, or your isp. If possible, try removing your router from your network by plugging your pc's ethernet cord directly into your cable modem or where ever you get your internet from.

Trying running a traceroute to twitch.tv from your pc. That'll show you where your connection is being stopped (maybe isp or your router?)
