I got my mac since 2008-2009. But i didnt updated my mac for over 1 years ( wasnt on computer ) so my version is 10.5.8... i heard that i cant do update anymore, and that i need to buy the newest mac version ( i need something like mountain lion or idk... ) and i cant buy it on computer since my version is too old, i need to buy it in shop, or just buy a new mac, i dont remember.

Now... i want to update my java version to the latest one, buut wheni go on the java website, it says my java update is suppose to be in my update list. but my update list is empty. is there anyway i can update java without buying a new mac version ?

Sorry for my english, i did my best

No. Apple maintains the OS X Java software so the only way to get it is to upgrade.

You sure about that? Why would oracle have downloads for mac os if that was the case?

They recently handed it back over to Oracle, but they still maintain the same OS requirements:

Better not install Windows either. We've already determined that you don't know what you are talking about so why do you even bother?
