Local Area Connection doesn't have a valid IP config keep getting this error, i troubleshoot it and it fixes it self but keeps on re occuring. I've tried a few different things i found on google and youtube they didn't help
I need to fix this so i can leave my bots running for more then an hour or 2 with me gone and not having to trouble shoot to fix the internet
This happened when i moved into a new house and with a new modem and new internet company
I put a password on the modem that didn't help and i tried some ip stuff. !1 of the things i did with the ip address fixed it for 5-6 hours, longest its ever gone without the error or w.e but then happened again so i don't know if that rlly helped or not

I'm guessing you need to setup a static IP


open cmd prompt
type: ipconfig /all
leave that open
then
control panel > network & internet > network and sharing center > change adapter settings > right click LAN > properties > ipv4 > use following shit

submit, default gateway, and DNS servers will all be displayed in the command prompt, fill those in the same as they are in command prompt into the window that popped up

ip address should have the first three sets of numbers the same as your default gateway

ie:
gateway: 192.168.0.1
ip would be: 192.168.0.X

X would be anything except 1, in this instance

click OK

im assuming ip is ipv4 address

do i have to validate upon exit?
and can i leave subnet mask empty?

subnet should be inside of the cmd prompt that you pulled up, if it isn't there that might be your problem
try 255.255.0.0
and 255.255.255.0
if it doesn't work

you don't need to validate, although it helps

thx alot for the help ive been having some other issues im gonna post up soon
like my d2 minimizes every once and a while rlly annoying, i maximize it right away but dont know whats causing it to minimize randomly maybe it has something to do with the other problem below
and ive been having problems with google crome, windows photo viewer program, internet explorer and even sc2
what happens is once i use d2 and exit my sc2 stays minimized sometimes and doesnt open AND my google chrome and internet explorer and photo viewer (default photo opener) keeps minimizing and not opening when i exit d2 b4 it worked when i restarted b4 i opened d2 (also did this wihen i exit sc2 b4 but stopped) now even if i dont play d2 or anthing it will NEVER LET me open google chrome or internet explorer or photo viewer when it opens it automatically minimized and doesnt open

So I'm a little confused, when you open chrome or ie currently they stay minimized and won't maximize? Same for photo viewer?

Photoviewer seems to be the odd man out, try running IE without addons, does it stay minimized then?

yea as soon as i open it it minimizes right then and wont maximize
ive been using paint to look at my photos now but who knows i might have problems with that eventually becz this didnt happen all at once it was one thing after another

In that case I'm going to guess your computer has been infected with a virus or malware.

If you can use this online scan (firefox?) I would:

Or check with your anti-virus
Also scan with Malware Byte's Antimalware

If that does not work or detect anything, I suggest using combofix, located here:

Also was reading, have you ever had two monitors setup on your computer? If so, there's a chance they're opening up where that monitor used to be.
