i was updating from 12.10 to 13.04

it have over 1300 updates. took about 3.5 hours, give or take.

still waiting on a better linux distro to use...

I used ubuntu until the unity stuff happened. Now I use arch linux (https://www.archlinux.org/) with i3 window manager (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/I3) for X11.

If you like the way ubuntu is set up but aren't a big fan of ubuntu, you could go with linux mint (http://www.linuxmint.com/), I like that as well.

i don't care about the unity stuff. i had a xubuntu but then i removed the xfce and i just installed awesome-wm and that's perfect. maybe i should call it aubuntu :)

downloading linux mint now, going to try it out.
