So I bought a 50'' LED flat screen and I'm trying to get the display from my laptop transferred over to it.
Now it goes over just fine but it doesn't extend to the edges of the screen.
Is this because the TV isn't compatible with the resolution that my PC works with or is it just an error on my part?

my guess is that your video card isn't good enough. but i'm no expert

change the resolution in the settings of your os & disable the laptop's screen.

Fixed it.
Just got an HDMI instead of using my shitty VGA thing
