I'm trying to compile and run some basic java programs using the AIDE android app. It seems to be capable of running programs, but there are so many directories and different files thrown together, I don't know how to just apply my one ".java" and use that single file for my output.

Any helpful advice is greatly appreciated!

AIDE is an integrated development environment (IDE) for developing real Android Apps directly on Android devices.

can you explain why you're not developing on a desktop/laptop?

i recommend learning java before learning android if you're a beginner.

I do use a desktop but when I'm at school i carry around a tablet (with a keyboard) and it would be nice to be able to use that to practice with sometimes
