Just curious as to what distros everyone is running.

I am currently running Fedora 18 with XFCE along with Linux Royal (Ubuntu 12.04 stripped of Unity, running Gnome)

What Kernal and Shell do you guys use?

same, i've tried the 64 bit a few times and the last time i tried it (about a year ago), it had improved quite a bit, but it is still kind of a pain.

It is not bloated but it is not light os either. It is packaged with common used apps in an attempt to counter najor operating systems like Windows and Mac os. It is no more than 8gb fully installed without any further downloads but it comes with everything you could think of preinstalled.

I have had no problems with Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit. What are the issues you guys are speaking of?

im just to lazy to backup and reinstall.

also helped find a ASLR bypass which makes ASLR completely useless and doesnt even matter if it's turned on or not on 64bit linux. 32bit is not effected.

I know that feeling. I finally got wise and started chopping my hard disk into partitions. I have my /home partition for my Linux os, I have my windows partition, Then I have a very large NTFS partition I use for file storage with Linux and Windows. Whenever a new destro comes out and I want to upgrade or try it, I simply format my /home partition and set up the new destro without loosing a thing.

i installed xubuntu but then i removed the x of xubuntu and added the window-manager called awesome. I like it, because it has less unnecessary borders ;)

(If someone wants to have a look at it, I uploaded a pic here: http://www.pic-upload.de/view-18495430/asdf.jpg.html )
