ok so for college i gotta learn like 3 languages >.< the other 2 are fine except VB.. i know nothing about it and have hated the look of it since long ago.

i use to code as a hobby with c++, php, css, javascript, but this is a few years ago now.

need someone to explain the main points of VB or help me out if i get stuck on some complete noob question

dont really know vb syntax etc

Write in C# or any other .NET language.

c# is my favorite

op apparently never worked with a gui before..

its pretty self explanatory to create a new project though... there shouldn't be any excuse not to know how.

you need to use the to_int() method.

something like

textbox1.text.to_int() * bleh

you dont have to use an IDE or drag/drop gui controls. you can do it all manually in notepad++ or notepad or whatever your favourite editor is, then use vbc.exe to compile it. it can be a real pain since the IDE auto generates a lot of things for you.
