so my friend comes over every once and a while and we use lan to connect him to the internet.
he uses the same internet as me ^ and plays videos on that website ^ with no problem.

What do I need to upgrade on my computer to stop these slow ass load time on videos.

Well, playing "videos" isn't really a measure of your CPU specifications (assuming you aren't using a piece of wood as your PC).

Post your result from http://www.speedtest.net/ for starters.

Also, is it just that one website that is slow and youtube (for example) loads video fast? If that is the case, it is probably the fact that they have an awful data rate (http://www.gogoanime.com/ that is) and you should either:

A] torrent whatever you want to watch
B] youtube whatever you want to watch
C] buy/rent whatever you want if A/B is not an option

If neither is the case and you have ruled out the most obvious solutions, you may possibly have a virus that is fucking your connection speed and your friend does not.

Oh and are you and your friend wired to your router or wireless? Because wireless is naturally slower for downloading/uploading (in my experience its about 20% of what an Ethernet connection can provide).
