I'm trying to go back and finish college, changing degree to computer science. But for the US, how hard is it to get a job in this related field? ((I've tried applying to so many places without college experience, and as expected no luck.)) So just wondering how difficult it can even be WITH college exp, and what are some tips to getting in this field? Ty.

Experience is what people really look for when it comes to technology (at least in my experience...) If you provide examples of previous work they'll be more likely to hire you. Until you have a portfolio built up the best option to you might be looking on craigslist for part-time's to build a portfolio off of (depending on the size of the city you're in of course)

I just came out of school with a B.S. in Computer Engineering (basically like computer science) and got a job right away. I might have just gotten lucky, but it seems that since computer science is where the future of most things is headed, that it's pretty easy to get a job if you actually know what you're doing. I'd say computer science is a solid field to get a degree in as long as you're serious enough about it that you'll be able to prove your knowledge in a job interview.

I'm just now starting college, but I've also thought about doing those courses that are like 25-50 hours from butler tech to have on my resume, not sure if that would help or not. I mean I've made site bots that go off java script, on sites like myyearbook, facebook, etc. But not sure if that would help or not? lol

You finally graduated?! Wow. It's been like five years, hahaha.

Congratulations! :)

@OP: Shouldn't be too hard at all.

with a degree and if you're applying for entry level jobs, you should at least get an interview. if you're not passing the interview, then it has more to do with you than your degree.

I don't see any reason for my 3 years spent in college. Employers don't care where you went to school, but they do care what you have done before. I took an internship at a great agency just to build a portfolio and it's worked out extremely well for me.
