Looking into going back to school. Lets just say for a IT degree in this example

Paying 25k and 4 years of school VS job training or getting certificates

What school are you looking at?

With IT you generally work on certificates, which can be studied for and taken independently.

looked into university of pheonix, have a campus here, also looking at state schools. ITT tech is out of the question. Also have been looking for apprentice programs.

what career are you looking at? IT is very large. some require a degree, some require certificates, some dont

Avoid DeVry, U of Phoenix, ITT and other for profit schools. Shitty quality and most companies look poorly on degrees from those schools. Why haven't you considered one of your local community colleges?
