• Hi, I'm looking for a program to be made.

• Paying 1500FG for the program.

• This is what it should (sort of) look like.



• The big white square should be a picture. (Above the white rectangles) (The pictures slot should have a upload functionality and it should have a separate upload pool)

• The first, second and third white rectangle should have a quote that can be uploaded by the user at any time with as many quotes as they'd like. (The rectangle slots should all have it's own "quotes" upload pool)


• Clicking the "space bar" should shuffle and randomize any uploaded items.

• Like default photo gallery programs, the dimensions of the program should be as large as the picture can be in size.

• After the program is complete, the program should be called "Four Minutes".




Sorry for my way of explaining the program, English is not a first language for me. The iPod theory underneath should help clear anything up.

An iPod has a shuffle function. It shuffles and randomizes songs that the user uploads to the iPod. In order for the iPod to have more variation or to shuffle at all, the user must upload music onto the iPod.
What I want this program to be similar to is this ; I want to be able to shuffle 4 kinds of variations all at once - a song, a picture, tv show and a video. Every time I click shuffle, it changes to a different song, picture, tv show and video simultaneously. In order for this to happen, I have to upload songs, pictures, tv shows and videos onto the iPod before the shuffle function can work. Songs, pictures, tv shows and videos have their own category because they're not all the same type of files (For tv shows and videos, let's imagine .FLV and .MP4). Therefore, I have to upload 4 different types of files in order for the shuffling function to work properly.

This is the breakdown of what I want the program to be like. I'm using the iPod theory to help explain the functionality of the program that I'm looking for.

I don't get what you mean fully. How did you want things to be uploaded? Also is this for the web? If so you are going to need a database and user login system... a bit more than 1,500fg it would seem.

My first language is not English so I'm sorry if it's not clear. It's not meant to be for the web, no. It does not need a user login system either.

For pictures, I want users to be able to put as many .jpgs or .pngs into a folder and by putting it into that folder, it'll be in the rotation of shuffled pictures.
For text, I want users to be able to put as many lines as they want into a notepad, and each line will be put in the rotation of shuffled texts. (each notepad = different rotation of texts)

If I put 3 pictures in the desired folder for example,
the 3 pictures will be apart of the rotation for the shuffled pictures.


So if I put these in the desired notepad file for example,

3

1, 2, and 3 will be apart into the rotation for the shuffled texts.

You say your users will be using it like that, but you also said that this is not a web project, its just local, so only you will be using it... or anyone else whom you send the program. It seems like a stupid program to be made, I really don't get its uses, can you explain it? What is it for?

I can probably whip something up using wxPython for you, but if you want a binary that runs natively on Windows or in a JDK, forgetaboutit.

that was my plan, but when the feature creep started, and he said compiled python was ok but he wanted the c++ source code.... I ran for the hills :o
