ive been on d2 and lately itll let me log in just fine and ill play about2-3 games and upon exiting the 3rd game it logs me out and when i try to log in it tells me some kinda error regarding port 6112 and ive already allowed port 6112 through the firewall any ideas?

it's probably loose. open up your case and find it on your mother board. just squeeze it tight again

but you have to do it while the computer is turned on, or it won't work.

Wrong. I can assure you.. ports have nothing to do with computer hardware.

might want to take a pair of pliers to your router as well, the port might have come loose on it as well...
