My friend wants to learn code and kind of understands the syntax for python as he read a book on it so I, a 3 week home learned programmer, made some small tutorials for him in the form of RPG games.
Tutorial 1:
Not an actual game but goes over some stuff he's read about. Briefly explains language features.
http://pastebin.com/kDA9iYKpTutorial 2:
Incredibly basic rpg. You explore an old house and pick up money if it's there. Includes functions, importing modules, variables and control statements.

Slightly more complex rpg. Simple map which your character moves around in. Enumeration of different objects. This is when I started realizing i have no idea of the content of an actual text rpg. Includes class, lists, tuples, and objects as well as other stuff from tutorial 2.
http://pastebin.com/CdXVRJgMThey should all compile. Try them out if you wish and any feedback/criticism would be great. The games work alright but I don't want to sabotage his learning with bad coding practices(since I haven't taken a class), so I thought I might put them out to the public first. If he gets through them I might make him a simple sidescroller on pygame for the next one. I think its the next step up from tutorial 3 and I know more about graphical game design being a teenager and not old.
