Is there any problems in using excel work sheeds for some calculations in my java program.

will probably use this for connecting:

When I use the work sheed the speed of calculations seems fine. will that still be the case when the program is talking with excel?

Reads data from Excel 95, 97, 2000, XP, and 2003 workbooks

if you're using 2007, 2010, or future versions, your results may vary.

But I assume. that when I create jar-file. It will be like a normal database and the excel sheed is no longer needed ?
