Hey guys.

I stand in a quite weird sitation..

Some days ago, i met a problem that resaulted in my CPU fan would not start.
That was rather strange so i thought it simply didn't work. After bixing a bit with it, i tried replace my Memory, and now it seems to work again.

The new problem is, while i couldn't make the Fan spin, i tried resetting the BIOS, something i did by request from a friend, who recently installed it from new.
What now happens is, it Blue screens 2 seconds after the window logo apears.

My friend, when he reinstalled my OS he changed the Win to something els, to run on something els from the BIOS, and i have absolutely no clue to what he did :(
Is there anyone here, who might know what i am talking about? :o

i know he tried making me do it, before the reinstallation, and that made the win go Blue screen aswell, so most likely could be what the problem is now, due to a reset of the Bios.

Help a fellow noob to fix this problem :'(

Many regards.

Well resetting the bios isn't necessarily going to cause your computer to blue screen. Try it again and when it blue screens write down the code it should be something along the lines of 000x and then a string of number behind it.

When you put that code into google it will tell you exactly what your problem is, Could be something faulty. But post back with that code or PM me and I'll try my best to help you.

The blue screen is less than a second, i mean, i only see like half the screen before it restarts, so that's not possible :(

I suppose the best way is to try to take a picture of it if you have access to a camera/phone.

*edit actually try this, Take each ram stick out and try booting up with each individual stick until you don't blue screen or find the faulty stick because that is what it sounds like.

this would be the correct section to post this:

http://forums.d2jsp.org/forum.php?f=199

updating your bios is something that you shouldn't have done if you didn't know exactly what you are doing.

you should always set your bios back to default settings before updating it.

Is your CPU fan spinning?

If it isn't. that most likely explains your BSOD.

storage configuration,
OnChip SATA Type = AHCI
