Fairly competent college educated technologically savvy man here looking for advice on where to start on a website idea I have. I need the website to be able to handle e-sales, as in pay to download files. The problem I'm running into is that I also need the sales to be linked to certain accounts and I'm really at a loss on what CMS I should use. Basically my idea is for people to makes accounts, upload their files, sell files, a cut of it goes to the website, the rest goes to their paypal. Any ideas on just where to start or what I should be searching for to read up on? I've successfully build a couple paid forums but that's the extent of my success. Tipping FG if you don't flame me.

i'm at a loss as to why you would think that this is a good idea. there already exist good sites for protected filesharing and people can directly pay each other through paypal without going through a middleman who takes a cut. what service are you actually offering that deserves the amount of payment you expect?

This is more of a niche website that would allow users to upload and sell certain files.
