i dont know if its the right place to ask, but can anyone recommend me programs to get started with LaTeX? ive googled around abit but there are different recommendations and i dont really know what to use

i bet u use windows: miktex
edit: don't use cygwin... use a real linux or then use miktex! trust ME!

miktex looks pretty nice. didn't exist when i went through college.... then again, texshop was better than anything on windows or linux anyway.
