Hi all. I want to code a website I am currently building. I have already done the login/signup page layout with Gimp (free alternative to photoshop), and now I need to write my html and css files. I thought about putting the layout I've done on Gimp as a background image, and then use html divs. Is that a good idea? Are there better alternatives?

Thanks.

Having users log in and out requires more than just HTML & CSS. You need some server-side logic, as well as a database to store the user's information.

Keep on studying before trying anything. There are a lot of dos and don'ts when it comes to the web, especially when working with users' data.

Slice out your buttons, banner, background and use css to piece it together and style it.

should be creating all your elements as different parts instead of one big background then use divs or other form of containers to place them with css.
