Howdy, long time no see

anyhow lets get to my point.

I find it boring to shutdown my comp with the usual shutdown screen so thinking of making a program that gives blue screen then shut down the comp when powerbutton is pressed.
anyone has a idea where to start??

turn off the windows function that restarts after a blue screen (so that you are halted at the blue screen until you restart manually) then write a quick application that causes a blue screen. there are many ways to do this just google. two of them are ending certain windows tasks and the other is using the printf() function and writing a bunch or tabs, returns, and newlines in a specific order in a never ending while loop.

i dont really suggest this though.. youll just get harddrive corruption.

i don't think he mean that... i think he means he wants to show the blue screen with like (shutting down or installign shit on the blue screen) and then when it is done it is stuck on the blue screen till you push the power button.

yeah, cause a program to cause the blue screen would not have a proper shutdown, i think he wants the proper shutdown
