Anyone know of a good program used to compare images?

i.e i have baseline.jpg, screenshot.jpg and i want to compare them. if they are different, return false.

matlab

image1=load(image1)
image2=load(image2)

false=image1-image2

this should return false with all black

if it doesn't you can see where they differ by using
plot(false)
