my brother is an Xbox 360 junkie so i stream movies and other types of media to my brothers Xbox thru media player 12

it used to work fine but for some odd reason something happened im not sure what and now some media files wont go into the video folder

instead files like mkv witch are most of my TV shows/anime's go into the other media section of windows media player 12 and the Xbox can not find the content

i had the k-lite codec mega pack installed and yes its up to date

but i cant get the mkv to go into the video section instead of the other media section

im willing to pay some fg if anyone can help me with my problem or give me a better solution than windows media player that works with the Xbox 360

try tinkering with the metadata in itunes

i dont think vlc streams to xbox

VLC can do everything.
