its been almost a year since i played diablo 2 and i decided to buy a digital copy and play again.

i purchased it on battle.net and installed the clients for classic and lod

but the installer wont open.

"You can't open the application Installer because PowerPC applications are no longer supported."

i read on the support forum that i could install bootcamp and then install windows

1. Does boot camp cost anything
2. Does windows cost anything
3. How easy/ how long would it take to do all of this
4. is all of this really necessary or is there another way?

1. no
2. yes, but theoretically you can also install an old version of mac OS or even linux and get it to work
3. super easy, if you use windows it should be 10min of clicking and ~1h of waiting to install. using linux and wine to be legit and without cost is more difficult
4. yes, it is necessary. there is another way, i.e. rebuilding rosetta for newer versions of mac os, but I don't think anyone has done that.
